Dan Bassett - President

Dan has over 30 years experience in project management, supervision, estimating and cost engineering for major research laboratories, data centers, semiconductor, environmental, health care, US-DoD, commercial and industrial projects for both private and public clients.

Dan provides services for complex projects, starting with Business Readiness Analysis, R&D commercialization, start-up organization planning and implementation, Risk Mitigation, conceptual design, budgeting, scheduling, supply chain procurement, to project completion and operations for large and small scale projects.

  • MAYO Hospital: Scottsdale AZ, as Project Mngr for Design Build of 250k SF state of the art health care facility.
  • Olin Chemicals Plants: Program Manager due diligence, site selection, budgets, schedules, Owner’s Representative oversight duties.
  • Performed the pre-construction, budgeting, due diligence, supply chain and trade resources analysis, contracting strategies and procurement for InterConnect Technologies,  Kuching, Malaysia. Semiconductor facility $1B project with 5,000 multicultural work force.

  • VP Operations for a national developer, designer, builder with $150M annual revenues building own product facilities.
  • Colorado Regional Manager for  a top 15 ENR Construction Management  firm  guiding over 350 employees. $250M annual revenue

 Bob has spent over 40 years in industrial design and construction, acting as responsible executive within major technology corporations and as a consultant owner representative for all facets of facility project delivery. 

With experience in all phases of site acquisition, process programming, funding, risk management, implementation of design through construction and facility and process system commissioning into operations, he is noted for establishing solid program plans on the most advanced technology facilities ever built and integrating complex execution phasing strategies to transform R&D products into commercial capability.

 HIGHLIGHTED EXPERIENCE

  • In Abu Dhabi 2011, planned the design, construction and authority approvals for a major Greenfield semiconductor foundry.
  • In 2009-10, established program content, contracting strategy, and supply chain program for  a major Seattle technology company on their global data center development program. 
  • Intel:  As Manager of Projects for Design and Construction from 2002 to 2009, he was responsible for global design and construction programs representing approximately $1.5B annually.  Significant Greenfield projects developed in Asia in Dalian, China, and Vietnam.  Major construction programs were located in Malaysia, India, Philippines, Ireland, Israel, and multiple locations in the United States.
  • Lawrence Livermore Nation Lab, National Ignition Facility: Contracted as Owner Construction Manager in 2000 for multi-billion dollar fusion energy advanced technology laser facility.  Bob was brought in by lab as a consultant to stabilize program after significant cost overruns and delays and successfully established a multi-project performance management approach.
  • Motorola Semiconductor: Director of construction from 1984 to 1996 for building semiconductor fabrication facilities transforming various IC and flat panel research products into factory operations.  Multiple projects throughout US and Asia.
